ART AND DESIGN TECHNOLOGY AT ST. GILES'

Pupils will use a range of materials and techniques to produce artwork such as drawing, painting and sculpture. They will learn to use subject related vocabulary such as colour, pattern, texture, line, shape, form and space and about the work of different artists. Pupils will be encouraged to describe the work of others and talk about similarities and differences, comparing these to their own work.

At St. Giles’, Art and DT lessons are based on the Cornerstones curriculum and are linked to the termly project. This ensures progression of knowledge and skills from EYFS to Year 2, whilst making learning fun, creative and engaging.
