HOW TO APPLY TO ST. GILES’  FOR  A  PLACE  FOR YOUR CHILD

  1. Opportunities to visit the school are scheduled during the Autumn term for parents of children due to start the following September.  Telephone the school to book an appointment when, in small groups, parents can visit the school and chat to the Head.  (Dates will be on the website early in the Autumn term).
  2. Details of the current application process will be on the Surrey County Council website (found under Links on the menu). In addition to completing the Surrey Application form on-line all applicants will need to complete the St Giles’ Supplementary Application Form. Both forms will need to be completed by a declared deadline (usually mid-January of the year of entry).
  3. The School Governors will then prioritise applications in accordance with their Admissions Policy.  (See below).
  4. Surrey County Council will subsequently inform all parents in April of the school in which they have been allocated a place.

Those who have been allocated a place at St Giles’ will be invited to attend a Pre School Meeting prior to their child’s entry. On this occasion they will meet the staff and have an opportunity to discover how they can best prepare their child for school life.
