How to apply to St Giles' for a place for your child

Opportunities to visit the school are mainly scheduled during the Autumn term for parents of children due to start the following September. Telephone the school to book an appointment when, in small groups, parents can tour the school and chat to the Head. Alternatively, book a place onto our Open Morning - the date will be displayed on our home page.

Details of the current application process will be on the Surrey County Council website (a link to their website is on the home page). In addition to completing the Surrey Application form on-line, applicants will need to complete the St Giles’ Supplementary Application Form only if they are applying under criteria 3, 4 or 7. Both forms will need to be completed by a declared deadline (usually mid-January of the year of entry). For your information a map showing the parish boundary can be found using the link to the left of this page - just input the postcode KT21 1EA.

The School Governors will then prioritise applications in accordance with the relevant Admissions Policy (see link on the left of this page).

Surrey County Council will subsequently inform all parents in April of the school in which they have been allocated a place.

Those who have been allocated a place at St Giles’ will be invited to attend a Pre- School Meeting prior to their child’s entry. On this occasion they will meet the staff and have an opportunity to discover how they can best prepare their child for school life.

In Year Admissions

We are currently full in year two but have places in both reception and year one so please call the school office to make an appointment to be shown round the school. The in-year application form can be downloaded from the download area to the left of this page. If you would like a tour of the school, please call the school office to arrange a mutually convenient time.
